We are a group of Bay Area natives passionate about soccer and the beautiful city of Oakland. We’re excited for the opportunity and look forward to working with the local community to inform and shape this process.
What I loved the most about Oakland was that all of my neighbors came in as many colors, ideas, and religions as there are people on the planet.
Benno Nagel is an Oakland native and former professional soccer coach, having worked with Dutch Eredivisie club FC Twente, Croatian giants GNK Dinamo Zagreb and most recently with Rayo OKC of the NASL. Benno attained his BA from San Francisco State University, where he also played collegiate soccer, and his MPA from CSU East Bay with a focus on Public Policy. Prior to coaching, Benno worked with both the Alameda County and San Mateo County Sheriff’s Departments and Activities Leagues, seeking to devise avenues for sports and soccer as a vehicle for creating healthier communities.
Edreece Arghandiwal is a creative entrepreneur and branding professional who blends big ideas with social impact. He studied Biological Sciences and Economics at the University of California, Davis and has an MBA from the #1 ranked entrepreneurial program in the nation, Babson College. Edreece spent time at Apple Inc. where he managed a team of 80+ employees with several thousand customers per day. Most recently Edreece is the co-founder of Jurni, a mobile application focused on reinventing journaling; allowing greater connectivity with people who are going through similar experiences and emotions. Edreece also serves as the Creative Director of Zam Zam Water, a 501(c)3 humanitarian organization devoted to playing a vital role in eradicating poverty by providing clean, sustainable water and resources to villages across the globe. Edreece was born in Oakland, CA and raised in Alameda, CA.
